Pierce County Court Report
April 18
Richard S. O'Brien, 22, of Prescott plead guilty to disorderly conduct and sentenced to six month of probation and ordered to pay court costs of $88, relating to an incident Jan. 1 in the city of Prescott.
Justin O. Poole, 23, of Elm Wood plead guilty to disorderly conduct and sentenced to serve time in a Pierce County Jail, relating to an incident Nov. 14, 2007 in the township of El Paso.
Stuart D. Olson, 38, of Durand plead guilty to operating while under the influence fifth offense and sentenced to two years of prison followed by a period of three years extended supervision and 36 months of license revocation, relating to an incident Jan. 14 in the township of El Paso.
April 21
Bryce A. F. Harris, 24, of Ellsworth plead guilty to a possession of marijuana charge and sentenced to pay a fine and court costs totaling $189.30, relating to an incident Nov. 26, 2007 in the township of Ellsworth.
Christopher F. Van Allen, 18, of River Falls plead guilty to stalking and sentenced to three years of probation and court costs totaling $250, relating to incidents from Oct. 1 and Nov. 30, 2007 in the city of River Falls.
Christopher A. Palm, 38, of Prescott had an arrest warrant issued for failure to appear at an initial appearance for a disorderly conduct charge, relating to an incident March 16 in the city of Prescott.
April 21
David N. Sylte, 25, of New Richmond, had an arrest warrant issued for failure to appear for a take and drive vehicle without consent charge, relating to an incident Oct. 6, 2007 in the city of River Falls.
April 24
Matthew A. Bunnell, 26, posted a $10,000 signature bond
for a repeated sexual assault of a child charge, relating to incidents from
June 1 to Nov. 30, 2007 in the city of River Falls.
Prescott Police Report
April 19
1:18 a.m. Officer arrested Jerad B. Rasmussen, 28, of Boyceville for 2nd OWI. He was transported to the PSCO and also put on probation hold.
1:46 a.m. Officer was dispatched to Scab's Place for unwanted subject. Steven D. Hughes, 39, of Hammond was found to be on probation and was arrested for drinking and transported to Pierce County jail.
5:20 a.m. Officer on patrol saw a red Toyota truck parked on Broad and Kinnickinnic Streets approximately one foot from the crosswalk. Officer stopped to write a warning and noticed the vehicle registration expired February, 2007. Citation for expiration and parking warning were given to the truck owner Leo F. Simones, 43, of Prescott.
8:07 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a residence on Glenridge Drive, Prescott, for a damaged mailbox. The mailbox was broken in half and laying on the driveway when the resident found it at 6 a.m. Officer took photographs and filed report.
12:04 p.m. Officer took a report from Mike K. Mattes, 62, of Gibbon, Minn. stating he bought a trailer from Shawn A. Brown, 35, of Prescott and was not given a title for the trailer. Complaintant stated he tried to contact Brown but the phone has been disconnected. Officer informed Mattes due to the size of the trailer, this is a civil matter and he should contact small claims.
7:10 p.m. Officer observed Mitchell J. Ptacek, 25, Farmington, Minn., pass a group of motorcycles and rev the vehicle engine. Officer located the vehicle and found the driver was operating after revocation and arrested him. He was transported to Pierce County Jail without incident.
April 20
1:23 a.m. Officer stopped Jeremy J. Reuter, 27, of Hastings for speeding on Highway 10 at Lake Street and issued him a citation.
1:55 a.m. Officer stopped Tyler A. Johnson, 25, of Cass Lake, Minn., and determined that his license was revoked in Minnesota. Officer issued a citation, and driver stated he did not have any questions.
8:35 a.m. Clayton J. Merritt, 39, of Hastings was issued parking citation for boat launch failure to display or unpaid fees.
8:37 a.m. Nicholas N. Popehn, 29, of Lakeville, Minn., was issued parking citation for boat launch failure to display or unpaid fees.
9:27 a.m. Chad K. Johnson, 36, of Eagan, Minn., was issued parking citation for boat launch failure to display or unpaid fees.
12:56 p.m. Officer talked to Latoya M. Thomas, 23, of Prescott. She said her sister took her pants and would not return them. Officer advised her this was a civil matter and not a police matter.
6:51 p.m. Officer assisted a Pierce County Deputy at a motorcycle accident scene about two miles east of Prescott on Highway 10.
7:44 p.m. Officer stopped Amanda R. Hanken, 25, of Newport on Highway 10 at Lake Street and cited her for driving 47 mph in a 30 mph speed zone.
April 21
8:14 a.m. Officer was dispatched to Malone Elementary to assist Prescott EMS with a child who fell and had a possible neck injury. Child was transported by ambulance to the River Falls Hospital for treatment.
1:25 p.m. Officer was sent to Heart, Hands and Mind daycare and was advised someone cut the fence, possibly over the weekend. Officer photographed the area for report.
3:15 p.m. Officer dispatched to the Prescott Beach for two lifeguard stands that were tipped over. Officer photographed the area for report.
7:05 p.m. Officers assisted Prescott Ambulance and EMS in transporting a Prescott resident to Luther Hospital for an emergency detention.
April 22
2:59 p.m. Officer dispatched to provide mutual aid to Pierce County Sheriff's Department for a two-vehicle accident scene until deputies arrived. Officer directed traffic until the scene was cleared.
April 23
5:37 a.m. Officer conducted a requested background check on Ryan J. Meier, 31, of Prescott for a Bartender's Operator License. The application was approved.
1:30 p.m. Officers Funk, Krutke and Beltz were assigned to control traffic and provide motorcade support during Freedom Run from Great River Road Freedom Park to Prescott Middle School. Officers also assisted with a student who was having breathing problems and called the ambulance. Officer stayed at the middle school until the ambulance was cleared to leave.
3:30 p.m. John A. Flatz, 40, of Prescott was issued parking citation for boat launch failure to display or unpaid fees.
3:30 p.m. Jerome O. Ingebrigtsen, 47, of Randolph, Minn., was issued parking citation for boat launch failure to display or unpaid fees.
3:30 p.m. Gerald R. Erickson, 48, of Prescott was issued parking citation for boat launch failure to display or unpaid fees.
3:30 p.m. Lee J. Balfe, 42, of Kilkenny, Minn., was issued parking citation for boat launch failure to display or unpaid fees.
7:55 p.m. Officer dispatched to College Street to pick up a stray cat that had been caught in a live trap.
9:15 p.m. Officer cited Sara E. Lheureux, 28, of New Hope, Minn., for speeding on Jefferson and Warren Streets.
April 24
1:43 a.m. Officer cited John D. English, 21, of LaCrosse for traveling 45 mph in a 25 mph zone while traveling south on Jefferson Street.
8:12 a.m. Officer cited Dana L. Haider, 23, of Mankato, Minn., for passing another car on the shoulder at Highway 10 and Dexter Street.
10:48 p.m. Officers were dispatched for a 20-month-old child having a seizure. EMS arrived and transported child to Children's Hospital to be checked by a physician.

Notice of Hours for Open Book
Board of Review will meet in the 12th of May, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall for the purpose of calling the Board of Review into session during the thirty day period beginning on the 2nd Monday of May, pursuant to Sec. 70.47(1) of Wis. Statutes.
Due to the fact the assessment roll is not completed at this time, it is anticipated that the Board of Review will be adjourned until the 25th day of June, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.
Pursuant to due Sec. 70.45 of Wis. Statutes the assessment roll for the Year 2007 assessment will be open for examination on the 25th day of June, 2008 at City Hall from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Instructional material about the assessment and board of review procedures will be available at that time for information on how to file an objection and the board of review procedures under Wisconsin law.
