A program of more than unusual interest to the public will be given next Tuesday evening when the Junior class of the local high school presents an evening of entertainment including three one-act plays.
In the first playlet of the evening, Doris Reichert as Jessica Reeves, a successful novelist, and Ruby Struve as Daisy Dalrymple, an engaging flapper, present "Meow" in which Daisy's story of a love affair is told to the wrong person.
Four housewives, played by Hazel Nelson, Nora Althoff, Leona Weyh and Genevieve Foley do wonders with a ten dollar bill in "Passing the Buck" and so solve their problems of the depression.
In the last play, Harry Foley and Robert Beeler present a comedy without plot or sense but full of wisecracks and humor.

Electrical problems on the Highway 10 bridge in Prescott caused a two-hour traffic delay Wednesday afternoon. The bridge was closed from about noon until just after 3 p.m.
According to the bridge operator Ed Helmer, there was a malfunction in the electrical system.
"I raised the bridge for the tugboat the Margaret D., brought it down, and then I couldn't get the bridge to lock in," he said. "The bridge's electrical console is a synchronized unit. If there's a glitch in the system, the safety arms won't go up"
That's what happened. The bridge came down; everything looked ready to go, but the safety arms at the ends of the bridge wouldn't go up.
