Prescott Police Report

July 1

6:24 p.m. Randall M. Murphy, 30, Prescott, was cited for a seatbelt violation at the intersection of Albert Street and Cherry Street.

July 2

12:39 a.m. Edward A. Cook, 18, Hastings, Minn., was cited for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle at the intersection of Campbell Street and Pearl Street.

July 3

11 p.m. Peggy L. Anderson, 50, Prescott, was cited for driving under the influence and driving after revocation of license after a minor accident on Broad Street north of Kinnickinic Street.

July 7

5:56 p.m. Mark A. Mueske, 50, Prescott, was cited for inattentive driving after colliding with a vehicle driven by Donald S. Kern, 47, Prescott, stopped at the intersection of Broad Street and Cherry Street. Both vehicles suffered only minor damage but Kern and a passenger, Tammy E. Johnson, 44, Prescott both suffered minor injuries.

8:38 p.m. Dwayne E. Gunderson, 43, Prescott, was arrested for domestic battery in an incident at 907 Pearl Street No. 243.

11:10 p.m. Daniel J. Aubut, 46, Zimmerman, Minn., was arrested for disorderly conduct after police responded to a complaint at Cabana Jo's that he had dumped beer on another patron and then slapped a bartender after being asked to leave. The incident is still under investigation.

 


Pierce County Court Report

June 29

Jacob C. Swanson, 24, Prescott, pled guilty to misdemeanor unlawful phone usage and threats related to an April 14 domestic incident in Prescott and was sentenced to one year probation with conditions including anger management counseling, alcohol assessment and follow through treatment, and court costs and other fees totalling $103.

Joseph M. Ramirez, 22, Prescott, pled guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct in relation to a May 6 domestic incident in Prescott and was sentenced to fines and courts cost totalling $267.50.

Joseph R. DeJong, 28, Hudson, pled guilty to misdemeanor battery in regards to a December 5, 2006 incident in River Falls and was sentenced to probation with conditions including participation in the Community Response Program and court costs and fees totalling $106.

July 2

Kyle R. Anderson, 24, Hastings, Minn., had a motion hearing scheduled for July 31 on charges of contact after domestic abuse arrest, criminal damage to property and aggravated battery in regards to an April 19 incident in Prescott.

Todd E. Robey, 40, River Falls, had a court trial scheduled for Nov. 6, 2007 on a charge of failing to pay wages to an employee related to an incident in River Falls between July 2003 and November 2004.

Theodore L. Schoonmaker, 37, Stockholm, had a plea hearing scheduled for August 9 on charges of burglary and two counts of receiving stolen property valued at less than $2,500 in relation to a March 13 incident in Salem.

Cory J. Young, 24, Hager City, had a 12-person jury trial scheduled for October 10 on a charge of criminal trespass in relation to a May 14 incident in the Village of Bay City and a charge of possession of methamphetamine in relation to an April 20 incident in Trenton.

Shawn H. Goplen, 23, Ellsworth, had a 12-person jury trial scheduled for October 10 on a charge of possession of methamphetamine in relation to an April 20 incident in Trenton.

Jerry L. Dumond, 51, River Falls, had a plea hearing scheduled for October 9 on a charge of knowingly violating a harassment restraining order in relation to a May 8 incident in Rock Elm.

Brian J. Powell, 44, Oakdale, Minn., had a bench warrant issued for failure to appear in court on a charge of criminal trespass in relation to a May 11 incident in Prescott.

Jason R. Most, 17, Prescott, pled not guilty on charges of disorderly conduct and misdemeanor battery in regards to a May 10 incident in Prescott.

Dallas R. Eggers Jr., 20, Prescott, had a plea hearing scheduled for August 6 on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and THC (marijuana) in relation to a March 30 incident in Prescott.

Niles Marien, 46, Spring Valley, pled not guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct in relation to a May 18 incident in Spring Valley.

Mark A. Campbell, 36, River Falls, had a 12-person jury trial scheduled for Nov. 7 on charges of First Degree sexual assault of a child under age 13 without great bodily harm, incest, and exposing a child to harmful matter in relation to incidents in the month of March 2006 in River Falls.

July 5

Brian D. Cieslak, 32, Prescott, had a sentencing hearing scheduled for August 7 on two counts of charges of substantial battery in relation to a September 17 incident in Prescott.

Stephen W. Aslakson, 24, Bay City pled guilty to charges of theft of movable property valued at greater than $2,500 and less than $5,000 and arson of a property other than a building and sentenced to a total of two years in prison plus a year of extended supervision in relation to an April 18 incident in Bay City.
