Perhaps there are folks in Prescott who have an idea that Robert Wehrman, Chief of Police, goes home and sleeps, after spending twelve hours during the day and night, protecting citizens and property in this city-but such is not the case, as "Bob" spends many of those off-duty hours raising prize-winning poultry. Mr. Wehrman has recently won several prizes with his birds, at various poultry shows in this section of the country, placing in shows at Waseca, Janesville and New Ulm, Minnesota.

On Tuesday morning a search warrant to examine records and files of River Hills Hospital and Residential Center in Prescott was executed by the Prescott Police Department, Pierce County Sheriff's Office and agents for the State of Wisconsin Department of Health, which controls the licensing of hospitals. The warrant is the result of one year's investigation by all the agencies involved, according to Prescott Police Chief Bill Cook. According to Cook, approximately 20 law enforcement personnel and state staff participated in the execution of the warrant. Most of the day was spent going through and making copies of the desired records. Pierce County District Attorney Andrew Maki confirmed that the incident focused upon one male juvenile patient and alleged incidents of sexual and physical abuse to as many as five female patients. "We are considering possible charges against a patient and against one or more staff for failure to report incidents of alleged physical/sexual abuse."
